Hannah Found Some Little Treasures...

My daughter Hannah was looking through one of the little bags o'stuff that were carefully saved from my mother's stuff after she passed away. In our unpacked boxes... and in dresser drawers... all tucked away in old plastic shopping bags... much like they were at my mother's house... are treasures of all kinds. Letters written by my mom to people. Old family pictures. My birth certificate. An old old old German birth certificate dating 1863... (that has now graduated from the old shopping bag... to an envelope inside my bible). I love to come across these bags o'treasures once in a while. It is so much fun to go through them and see what all is in there. I also found a song that my mother had written. It is a gospel song. It is written on a blank sheet of music paper. The notes are written in ink pen... and the words are type written below the notes. The reason I know that my mother wrote this... is because she used to have an old manual typewriter that had the keys in cursive. This song is all typed out in cursive. I would love to hear this song someday. Hannah also found some treasures on some old film negatives that I am going to have developed again on payday. I am going to post each and every one on here... along with some other pictures I have found. I want to share them... and I know two people in particular that will love them very much. So be looking for a bunch of pictures posted around the 5th of the month or so. They will be pretty cool. I also want to post the old German birth certificate. My brother lives in Germany now... maybe he can decifer it for me! Be on the lookout... pictures coming soon!
