Today's Thoughts and Ponderings... And Words to Live By

I would like to share this with you.

~Ephesians 2:8-10~ "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do." (NIV Bible)

'Pressing on Toward the Goal'
~Philippians 3:12-21 & 4:1~ "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken ahold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained. Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends!" (NIV Bible)

I know that God loves me for who I am. I also know that God created my future and he has had a plan for my life since before I was born. I know that he has shown me that little 'snipit' to give me inspiration to live my life according to his will. He is the one who has given me my gifts and blessings. He is the one I will give thanks to every day of my life. He is the reason... I will keep pressing forward... to reach the goals he has set for me... not only to bring a light to the lives of others... but light to my life as well... and mostly to glorify God, who has made life itself happen.
