Revealing a Need... and Request for Prayer...

I spent all of last night... practically writhing in excrutiating pain. I was crying, sobbing, praying, begging... whatever I could think of to try and make the pain go away.

I knew that I had to get up at 3am to get ready for work. Problem with that was... I could hardly walk.

I have been having trouble with joint pain for the past, oh about 8 months. My doctor had been giving me samples of an arthritis pain medication... which... I must say... masked the pain rather well. WELL... I ran out of those samples this past Thursday. Let me tell you what... I am glad I did!

I am not happy for the pain, mind you. But... I am happy to see proof every time prayer really works. Let me tell you about it. The day before the London bombings... when I had gone to work... I had a terrible sense of some sort of impending doom. I did not know what that was all about... but I remember my mama always praying for a "hedge of protection" around us. So instantly... that is what I prayed for. The night before the bombings in London... My friend and I were talking. Towards the end of our conversation... I started to have a lump in my throat... and tears started. It was that feeling... getting stronger. The following is what she prayed...

Lord, I ask you to place your mighty angels round about Suzii, Rich Hannah, their animals, their homes and their families. Thank You Lord, Thank You that you ARE! Yes, all the blessings that you have given, In Jesus Name, and by the authority HE has given to us, we cover all these things with the powerful Blood of Jesus Christ! Bring alertness to anything that needs to be revealed, and may anything the enemy has meant for our harm, be turned to the good, Thank You Father!

I highlighted the part that I am presently thanking God for. Here are my thoughts on what happened. I ran out of my pain medication... which was masking a bigger problem. Because I ran out... I was in such excrutiating pain that I went to the emergency room this morning. The ER doctor took some blood for labwork... and the results came back that I have gout. Gout is a very nasty nasty thing. It is a build up of uric acids in the body that the kidneys cannot flush out completely. It forms itself as crystals in your joints. It is more than extremely painful... AND CAN GET WORSE IF NOT CAUGHT. Well... I say... AMEN!... for the "alertness to anything that needs to be revealed, and may anything the enemy has meant for our harm, be turned to the good."

The effects of gout can be relieved by medications... AND LEARNING TO KEEP URIC ACID LEVELS DOWN BY CHANGING THINGS IN OUR DIET. Talk about a "have to" diet plan!

I am very thankful that the Lord is so faithful to us and our prayers.

I am in need of some prayers at this time as well. I have to stay off me feet. I am not supposed to bear weight on my left leg... as much as possible. I cannot work while this is inflamed. My boss at work is having me file a medical leave of absence. I guess this is to ensure that I will keep my job... and for "proof" that my absence from work has been approved by management at a doctors request.

Problem with this is... My husband is on disability. He cannot work. I need full time employment to keep our household functioning.

So... this is what I am asking... please pray for a complete healing for me... and for this to be done quickly so that I can return to work to provide for my family.
