Lady Of Grace

...A Work In Progress...

When Jesus spoke again to the people he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." JOHN 8:12

FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH - AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD - NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST. FOR WE ARE GOD'S WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO." EPHESIANS 2:8-10

In Due Time... (Are We There Yet Daddy?)

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:6-11

I cannot even begin to tell you how much these verses mean to me. Such wonderfully outlined instructions God has laid out for us to follow... even including the ultimate promise!

If we humble ourselves... in our lowest state... lay all of our cares and worries in God's (MIGHTY) hand... in other words... it does not matter how big our problems are... God's hand is big enough to take it... we just have to humble ourselves by saying... "Ok God, obviously I cannot do this all by myself... would you please help me out here?" And the instruction comes by God saying that if you would just do that... he would lift you up... raise you out of the troubles and pick you up out of the problems you are going through.

He also instructs us to watch out for the devil. He is our worst enemy. He is ready at a moments notice to devour us... kill us... make us suffer... cause us pain and agony. He even tells us how to counter act all that the devil comes at us with. It is simple... RESIST him... stand firm on the faith... (faith is being sure of things that are unseen)... and to know that you are not going through these problems alone. So if we believe in the hope and promises that God gives us... the hope and promise of health, wealth and prosperity in all we do... then stand firm on that... believe it with all your heart and soul... say it out loud! Tell the devil what promises God has for you! There is power in every word you speak. If you say that congestive heart failure runs in your family... then it will. If you say that by the stripes of Jesus Christ my Lord and savior I have been healed of congestive heart failure... then you will.... Believe it... say it... hold it in your soul... pray it. If you say that there is no way in sight of getting out of financial troubles... then you will stay financially troubled. If you say that God plans prosperity for my family... then... there will come a time when you will be financially strong and extremely blessed. There is so much that God wants for us to have.

The very last of these verses... just makes me feel like I am SO worthy to God. It makes me feel so loved. It says... that the God of ALL GLORY... the God of everything... the one and only creator... HE specifically called me... ME... LITTLE OLE ME... to eternal glory with Jesus!!!...God himself... will RESTORE me... make me strong... make me steadfast. HE HIMSELF... will do that for ME! Wow!!! How big is THAT love? WoW!!

I trust in the Lord my God... my Big Daddy God in heaven... he will help me through everything if I believe in the faith that he has so freely given me. I tell you what... I have so much faith in me sometimes it feels like it is dripping from my pores. Even in the sludge of life... the pit of despair... the muck of uncertainty... I am able to hold hope that God plans (in his time... with my patience)... to lift me up out of my troubles. I have not yet been able to throw a mountain into the sea... but I do have alot of faith!!!

I see positive things happen... even when the worst of the worst gets thrown at me. This past week... my husband has had a successful abdominal surgery... we have been so broke that I have almost lost my home... but we have had enough money to save it... and have gas money to go back and forth to the hospital several times... plus have enough money for food... plus have enough strength to be able to actually walk everywhere that I needed to walk to without pain... I have also been released back to work 3 days per week... and I have not had to take any pain and anti-inflammatory pills for the past two days... PRAISE GOD!

God is so good. His love is so true. He keeps his promises. And... in due time...

I live each day the best I can. I thank God for every tiny little thing that I have. I would like to write the book that is in my heart to write... or should I say... finish it. God sees us at the core of who we are... and He still loves us anyway. He is the reason and purpose I exist in this world... and He has entrusted me with a family to care for... and with a heart to share with others how much He loves everyone. (This is a note to self... "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10")

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~1 Corinthians 13~
