Lady Of Grace

...A Work In Progress...

When Jesus spoke again to the people he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." JOHN 8:12

FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH - AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD - NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST. FOR WE ARE GOD'S WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO." EPHESIANS 2:8-10

Today... is a Nut Shell... not IN a nutshell... IS!!

My mood today is as grey as the clouds outside. Nothing positive seems to be going on at work this week. I am trying really hard to let it go... but when you are right in the middle of it... it is hard to get past the crap. (Pardon my french)

The one thing that I worked so hard at... was to get back to work. Satan attacked me from every angle to keep me from it. Now that I am back and can actually get to work and make a living for my family... Satan seems to think he can attack me in various ways while I am there. He is the author of confusion and tension and strife and frustration. He knows I have stood my ground as a Christian there... and he is fighting me every step of the way. He is making life there miserable for me. He knows that when little things pile up on me... I tend to get stressed out... and basically this past week the bakery has exploded into a thousand pieces. Satan is trying to turn everyone against each other... he is trying to stretch and poke and twist at every little thread of my being. I have had to be honest and humble and submissive to my authority figures at work (which is how we should be)... and in the midst of the turmoil going on there... try to be the peacemaker as well. Satan keeps throwing everything he can at me to try to make me discouraged and depressed.

HE WILL NOT WIN!

I have done my share of crying at work. I wear my heart on my sleeve and when tensions get high... my tear factor rises. I have to keep reminding myself that I am just there for a paycheck. If I do everything I can to do the best that I can do... then there is nothing more they can expect from me. I will remain honest... and caring. I will remain submissive and humble. I will try to keep my focus on the things of God instead of the things of this world... (the things of this world always seem to invade on God's land)

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is nto against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly as I should." Ephesians 6:10-20

Walmart may THINK they are a god and own the world... but boy... do I have news for them!

Remember the Bible says that we should do our work as though we are doing it for Him.

I often times had to remind myself of that when things got frustrating at work. I kept telling myself "You are doing this for God. He is your boss. Do it for Him." Trust me, there were plenty of times I forgot to tell myself this and things seems worse than they should have been...I let things get to me, etc. But whenever I reminded myself to do it for Him instead of my boss, then things seemed much better. My focus was on Him instead and that made the world of difference.

Truth be known, all of our lives are nut shells.

It is hard to learn to look past the nagging little irritants.

Jesus reigns!

I live each day the best I can. I thank God for every tiny little thing that I have. I would like to write the book that is in my heart to write... or should I say... finish it. God sees us at the core of who we are... and He still loves us anyway. He is the reason and purpose I exist in this world... and He has entrusted me with a family to care for... and with a heart to share with others how much He loves everyone. (This is a note to self... "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10")

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~1 Corinthians 13~
