Each day I am determined to be an inspiration to those around me. Even when I struggle daily to overcome the trials of life... I persevere only because of the faith that I have in God. He is my refuge at the end of a horrible day. He is my strength. He is the light of my life... without His light... I would be covered in thick and choking darkness. I know that each day I strive to do the very best I can in everything. Sometimes it feels as though the very best... just isn't good enough.

Then...

Someone asks me... "How is your day going so far today, Suzii?"
I reply... "It's going okay so far... why do you ask?"

((I know she sees me limping around... but... I try to keep a smile on my face knowing that grumbling and moaning isn't what she is wanting to hear about... she knows I hurt... it is probably written all over my face............))

"Because..." She says... "You are the bright and shiney one... If you are having a good day... then I know everything will go good today."

Perhaps even when I don't feel like God's light is shining through me... it flickers enough yet... for others to see. Perhaps even when I don't feel like smiling... yet I do... others see what is inside. Perhaps... when I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders... someone else... is willing to lighten the load with just a few simple words.

What shines in my soul... is the light of Jesus Christ. What lifts my spirits... and brings me joy... is the faith that I have that comes from a promise from the Lord...
