I sit and watch the world go by
Silently I stare
I watch you watch t.v.
In my mind I am not there

I travel to a place and time
I have not yet seen
A place inside the future
Where I have never been

I try to find the one key
That will unlock all the doors
Solving mysteries unfathomed
In the place I've never been before

No stress and no confusion
No tears and no pain
Only happiness and freedom
Through open doors I'll return again

I'll grasp the blessings flowing
Like the rain falling from the sky
Life beyond all imagination
For my loved ones and I

The time has come to call it in
The prayer of a dreaming soul
It's going to take a lot of faith
And God's hand to make me whole

I am right here inside myself
Waiting for a jump start
To find the person I should be
The dream inside my heart

To be given such a vision
Of a life only God can create
Excitement builds up in me
So why do I hesitate

In God's eyes I am worthy
In His eyes my dreams make sense
The once almost dying ember
With God's breath becomes intense

I search around daily
In my heart I hope I find
The courage to take that first step
To making my future mine

I cannot stand the thought
Of my dreams being given away
To some other seeking searching soul
Who happens along the way

When I get to heaven... kneeling at His throne...

When God asks me what I had done...

With all of the dreams He gave to me...

I want to hold my head up high
Giving Him all the praise and glory
Then I will sit by the ocean's shore with Him
And read to Him my story
