Lady Of Grace

...A Work In Progress...

When Jesus spoke again to the people he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." JOHN 8:12

FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH - AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD - NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST. FOR WE ARE GOD'S WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO." EPHESIANS 2:8-10

I am not where I am supposed to be...

It's been a while since I have had anything worth saying here.  It's been a while since someone came here to read what I have had to say.  Do people come here?  Why do they come here?  Is this place worth sharing with the world?  Do people actually read what I write?  Maybe some just come here looking for pictures to add to their own sites.  Maybe some just come... see the word God... or Jesus... and click out really fast.

I have been in a spiritual lull... by my own doing.  I have a simple relationship with God.  I talk... He listens... sometimes I hear his voice in my heart.  Yes... Christians hear voices... but only if your heart is open... and only if you have the faith enough to believe that God is real.  (I believe that's why the "therapists" believed my mom was nuts... non Christian therapists don't believe in "the voice of God")

I do believe that God is real.  Jesus is alive.  He walks beside my soul every day.  On the days that I spiritually walk silent... I feel that Jesus walks silently beside me... waiting for me to visit with him.  I have always felt his presence... even when I have felt all alone.

How do I explain how fabulous that feeling is to a non-believer... or to someone who does not understand what God is all about?  How do I explain it to myself?  Myself... believes it by faith.  Faith is believing in things that are unseen.

So why am I in a lull?  I wish I knew.  I start to talk to Jesus... then I stop.  My heart talks to him... more than I do.  I believe he listens to what my heart is telling him.

Sometimes I feel like a little child... inside myself.  You know... that place in your soul that still need nurturing.  Sometimes I feel like I am sitting in a room with no windows... with my knees curled up to my chest... and my arms wrapped around my legs... with my chin resting on my knees.  Waiting.  Just waiting to be taken out of that room.   Jesus is in that room with me.  He keeps urging me to come outside of the room.  He keeps telling me that it's okay... that he will protect me... but the little child inside that room has never been to the place Jesus is asking me to go to... and she is just a little bit scared that she won't be good enough to make it out there.  I want to go out... so very badly.  I cannot do it alone... and Jesus knows that.  Every effort I make to leave that room seems to fail... because I try to leave it by myself.  I sometimes think that I am strong enough to do it on my own... but I am not.  In my weakness... Jesus takes over for me... He is the strength of my spirit.  If only I could be more like him.

I have tried to share the joy and strength that God has given me in my past... to others.  Some people shrug it off like it is a piece of lint on their shirt.  Others... have soaked in and actually shared some of my past blessings as hope in their own lives.  I want new blessings to share.  I need a new hope.  I need for Jesus to take my hand and help me find the key that will unlock that room and let me out.  I have so much to give... by faith I have so much to give... yet I have not come to the place I need to be in... to share it.

Hi Suzii! It's been awhile since I've been here and I'm sorry about that.

Thanks for sharing where you are in your walk. I've been stagnant in my walk lately but I think I am slowly coming around. Part of the problem is that I can't get to a church over here since there are none in my immediate area that have English services. The church I went to back in September when I first got here had an English translation but it was difficult to understand a lot and sometimes it didn't really make sense in the translation.

Anyway, hope things are going well with you. How is your health lately?

I live each day the best I can. I thank God for every tiny little thing that I have. I would like to write the book that is in my heart to write... or should I say... finish it. God sees us at the core of who we are... and He still loves us anyway. He is the reason and purpose I exist in this world... and He has entrusted me with a family to care for... and with a heart to share with others how much He loves everyone. (This is a note to self... "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10")

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~1 Corinthians 13~
